AHHHH I have to write this way fast... Sorry! And sorry if I wasn't able to respond to your email this week :/ I triiiied so hard!
hello

This week went by slow.. But WAY fast.
WE WORKED SO HARD! It was way awesome.. Because at the end of the day on Sunday while we were counting out the number of lessons we taught, etc... We realized that we had reached all of our goals and then had DOUBLED on some of our other goals.. Heavenly Father is for sure taking care of us here. Something I am especially grateful for... As I was a little worried about this new change of pace.
Monday: We... Emailed. :) And bought 8 sets of khaw man guy Tawd! Fried chicken with rice... haha The owner was shocked out of his mind that we ordered so many ( it was for family home evening).... He couldnt stop laughing... I am sure that to many we are just a bunch of fatty faraangs.. It's the best. Finding food here has been an adventure... I am grateful for 7 eleven. And somtam..
Tuesday: People in this place take learning English WAY serious. So I tried my best to teach English.... The longer I stay here... The worse I become at English. Today we taught this way cool guy we met on the street who wanted to Laang Baab.. Clean his sins. His name is "yeah"... Hahaha Ya we have had fun with that :) He accepted a baptismal date... And then at the end of the lesson he said he would try out praying.,. But then he asked if he could do it in his own language.. Turns out he is Burmese. Hmm! So that was cool. And we shall see about him. About him we shall see.
Wednesday: Book of mormon class here is strange.. Haha they ahve the missionaries read in English. We visited an RC and investigator at their house! Where they sit all day.. every day.. Making shoes. Every. Day.
Thursday: Explored the area for a while.. Found some cute places! This place reminds me of Edmonds WA.. More and more! So fun!
Friday: Taught a guy named Ice today.. And one of the Elder's investigator's sat in on the lesson.. He totally fell asleep when we turned on the restoration video... That was awkward.. Hahahaha but way funny... Sister beckstrand turned the volume up 100% at the part when of the little kids screams "MAA!" hahahaha It woke him up :''') We are evil hahaha :)
Saturday: SWITCH OFF IN ASOKE! Oh it was so good. I love Asoke SO MUCH. It is seriously so magical there. You can really feel the spirit of a temple in the process and missionary work. I was with the wonderful sister Alley.. We went and visited a sweet investigator from Uganda named Susan... Actually she has like 5 names.. Susan, Janet, mimi, nanano, and.... something else. She speaks English and Zwahili.. I asked her what "Zurie" translated to.. She said that it is is the most beautiful and amzing special kind of person. That not many people will say it unless it unless the person is SO speciall.. and they will say Oh she is so Zurie! It made me smile and think of how that definition definitely fits my Zurie @ home <3
Sunday: Miracle- SO many too many to relate! We got a new investigator named Bird <3!!! He is set to be baptized next Sunday! Pray for him.. He is seriously SO awesome <3 And... His name is bird <3
So many miracles and tender mercies that have come through out the week. I wish I had more time to tell about them all... Today we are meetin Sister Taw and Alley in Asoke again <3
I love my new area. I love sister Beckstrand
I love president and Sister Jjohnson.
I love being a missionary. It is truly the best.
Love,
Sister Coates
